Then God said, “Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make man [Adam, mankind, human beings] in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion [kingdom, complete authority] over the fish of the sea, over the birds in the sky, and over the livestock, over all wild animals, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth” (Genesis 1:26).
God’s original will was/is to extend His heavenly Kingdom to earth. That is why God created man in His own image and likeness to dominate, rule, govern, manage the earth for Him. He created man (you, spirit male and female species called man) to be kings, dominate over the earth.
God place the man in the Garden of Eden to work it (to become) and take care (to watch it, cultivate it) of it (Genesis 2:15).
God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden (including the tree life and any other trees); but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die’’ (Genesis 2:16-17).
But what is Eden? Is it a physical place? No. It is an environment. It is the presence of God.
Thus, in Hebrew, Eden means, ‘’the spot for the moment where the presence of God is an open door to heaven’’.
